Cheryl Saban, PhD Board Member
Cheryl Saban is an author, producer, philanthropist, child advocate, and most important, a wife, and mother of four. Married to Haim Saban, CEO of the Saban Capital Group, she and her husband have been active participants in the welfare and improvement of children's lives for many years.
In 2000, Saban wrote 50 Ways to Save Our Children, and created and personally funds the website www.50ways.org. The book and website are meant to inspire community service, and are easy-to-navigate resource guides for individuals interested in finding ways to help children and families.
As part of her philanthropic activism, Saban is a Board Trustee of Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where she focuses on pediatric research, and also volunteers as a Cuddler in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ms. Saban serves on the Board of United Friends of the Children; an organization dedicated to helping foster youth. In addition to her board affiliations, Saban is a member of the Everychild Foundation, and recently served as a Los Angeles City Commissioner, on the Commission for Children, Youth, and their Families.
In addition to 50 Ways to Save Our Children, Saban is the author of Miracle Child, Griffin - a toddler series, and Sins of the Mother. Her credits also include tele-films Au Pair and Au Pair ll, which she co-wrote and co-ex-produced for the Fox Family Channel.
Cheryl Saban has a Master's Degree in Psychology and a PhD.
