From the mid 70's to the early 90's, Mary Turner was clearly the most listened to female air personality on contemporary music radio. She was the highest rated disc jockey on LA's legendary KMET, the host of "Off The Record", Westwood One's nationally syndicated interview show which airs on over 100 stations weekly, and the host of the Mary Turner Show on Armed Forces Radio. Mary has not only played the hits but has interviewed virtually every major star in contemporary music and her work is included in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and the Museum of Television & Radio in New York and Los Angeles.
After leaving radio in 1994, Mary attended UCLA, where she became a certified drug and alcohol counselor and began working in the field of substance abuse. Today she continues to be extremely active in the field as a counselor and serves on the boards of DARE, the Musicians Assistance Program, Cedars Sinai Hospital?s COACH for Kids, The Young Musicians Foundation and the Betty Ford Center Advisory Board and Chairman?s Council.
Mary is married to Norman Pattiz, founder and Chairman of Westwood One Companies, and lives in Beverly Hills.
