Board Member

Lynda Resnick began her business career at the age of nineteen, when she founded a full-service advertising agency. Other successful ventures throughout her career include corporate management, marketing, product development and, most recently, writing. In 1979, Lynda and her husband Stewart purchased a fledgling floral wire service called Teleflora. She left advertising and brought her skills to that enterprise, starting as Executive Vice President of Marketing. In 1980, her innovative "Flowers in a Gift" idea paired fresh flowers with a well-designed keepsake container, and earned her the Gold Effie Award. Resnick went on to become President of the company and has served as Chairman for the past eighteen years. She continues to help create the product line, the worldwide web presence and influence the marketing direction. Today, Teleflora is the world's largest floral wire service with over twenty-four thousand member florists.

Resnick is co-owner of The Franklin Mint, the world's largest marketer of fine quality collectibles. From 1985 to 2000, she directed worldwide marketing efforts and created a unique product line for the company, setting a benchmark for artistic quality and authenticity for over eight million Franklin Mint collectors. Resnick helped collect and display meaningful objects in The Franklin Mint Museum, most notably Jackie Kennedy's pearl necklace and Princess Diana's pearl-studded evening gown. Under the names Paramount Farms and Paramount Citrus Companies, the Resnicks own the nation's largest orchards and processing plants for oranges, lemons, almonds and pistachios. These products are marketed under the Sunkist name and many prestigious private labels. Resnick helps to create branded products for the agri-businesses, including the innovative seasoned nut toppings Almond Accents, the new healthy snack Almond Munchies, as well as Cuties, a citrus variety called clementines.

In 2001, the Resnicks created a new category of healthy product: PomWonderful pomegranate juice. PomWonderful is an integrated company that farms and sells fresh pomegranates and also produces and markets PomWonderful pomegranate juice, which is sold in supermarkets, grocery stores, mass and club stores. PomWonderful pomegranate juice is enjoying outstanding success across the United States and will soon be available in the United Kingdom. In the beginning of 2005 the Resnicks acquired Fiji Water, which should provide great synergy with their existing beverage business. For six years, Resnick has been listed as one of Working Woman's Top 50 U.S. Women Business Owners. She serves on the Executive Board of The Aspen Institute and chairs the Marketing and Communications Committee; the Executive Board for the UCLA Medical Sciences; CaP CURE and the Milken Family Foundation. She is a Trustee and Executive Vice President of Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as the Chair of the Collections Committee, and is a Trustee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Resnicks are proud parents and grandparents and maintain homes in Beverly Hills, California and Aspen, Colorado.
